Sour Cream Cake Batter Donuts + History of Donuts + Chai’s Safari

Sour Cream Cake Batter Donuts 5

This colorful take on the typical sour cream donut recipe is baked, not fried. This method results in a light and airy donut with all the yumminess of the original. Throw these together on the fly with a simple shortcut, funfetti cake mix, which is used in both the donut and the sticky, delicious glaze. Top with additional sprinkles for extra fun. Almond Croissants + History of Croissants

Almond Croissants 14

I’ve recently become obsessed with almond croissants so I had to make some for myself! The recipe is really just a jazzed up day-old croissant. The almond fillingĀ (creme d’amandes) is what makes the recipe. It is rich, buttery, sweet and all the other good things.

These dumplings contain only 2 ingredients: tofu and rice flour, making them a healthy and filling snack, even with the honey topping.

Garam Masala Spiced and Iced Lemon Bread

Spiced and Iced Lemon Bread Featured

This is my second installment of ‘Make me Love Lemon Desserts.’ I just made that up. This is me trying to use the rest of the free bag of lemons from my Lemon Custard Cakes with Herbs de Provence Glaze. You have to check these lemons out. They are literally the saddest lemons ever. No wonder Giant Eagle is desperately trying to pawn them off on the unsuspecting public. That’s cool though. I will make them shine again!
