Sunrise C Smoothie 1

I usually have a smoothie as a combo breakfast/lunch type meal. It’s such a quick and versatile ‘meal’ to throw together! You can pack them with all kinds of protein, fruits, veggies and other nutritious goodies. The following recipe is nice during the winter because it tastes a little bit like summertime.

Sunset C Smoothie

  • Servings: 3-4

1 mango, chopped and frozen (I left the peel on but you don’t have to.)

1 navel orange, peeled, segmented and frozen

¼ cup blackberries, frozen

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

½ cup vanilla soy milk

1 tablespoon flax


(I used fresh fruit pieces which I spread in a single layer on a baking sheet and left in the freezer overnight. You could also just purchase frozen fruit and use that.)

Blend all ingredients until smooth.
