It was time to replenish my vodka supply. Don’t judge me. This time I picked up chocolate flavor and salted caramel flavor. Perfect for spiking hot chocolate, especially with the weather sucking so hard. Easy to throw together. Actually too easy.
I was curious as to what genius first thought to combine sea salt and caramel. Of course it was the French. The NY Times has more info, if you’re interested.
Drunk Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
6 oz prepared hot chocolate
1 oz salted caramel-flavored vodka
1 oz chocolate-flavored vodka
½ oz whipped cream-flavored vodka
Whipped cream, caramel syrup and toffee bits (optional)
Mix together first 4 ingredients.
Top with ingredients of choice.
*To get really effed up, To make a Drunk Salted Caramel Mocha, add a packet of instant coffee granules.
