Pumpkin Spice Dry Hair Rescue + Swirly Twirly Cat Nap

Pumpkin Spice Dry Hair Rescue Process 1

This mask is packed with hair-friendly ingredients! Pumpkin is rich in potassium and vitamins A and C, which are good for your scalp and promote hair growth. Honey gives your hair moisture and shine. Both coconut and jojoba oil are just plain awesome for hair and skin. They can easily be used alone to moisturize and strengthen hair. Honestly, the clove and orange oil are not strictly necessary but they smell so good! Plus, the scents of both orange and clove oils are said to reduce anxiety. Orange oil is also an aphrodisiac. Who doesn’t want the scent of their hair to act as an aphrodisiac?

  • Print

Ingredients:

½ cup canned pure pumpkin

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon organic unrefined coconut oil

1 tablespoon jojoba oil

3 drops clove bud essential oil

2 drops sweet orange essential oil

Water, optional

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth. (A blender or food processor is best. Any remaining lumps will stick in your hair.)

Depending on the water content of your pumpkin puree, you may need to add a little water. You want a smooth, conditioner-like consistency.

Apply to wet hair in sections and cover with shower cap.

Let sit for 30 minutes.

Rinse out.

Wash and style hair as usual.

Leftovers can be stored in the freezer.

And now for the promised Swirly Twirly Cat Nap!
